If you haven’t had a chance yet to read through “List Building With Alex” then I recommend that you do. Alex leads you through step by step how he built his email list up into the thousands.

If you have read it then you already know that he recommends joining JV Giveaways to quickly build your list.

What Is A JV Giveaway?

A JV Giveaway is where a bunch of internet marketers submit free gifts for members to download. Then members can download these gifts at no cost, all they have to do is sign up for your email list.

Free GiveAway EventThere is no charge for you to participate. The only requirement is that you promote the giveaway. Usually the more members and contributors you refer to the giveaway the higher your free gift will rank.

These giveaway events generally last about 1 to 2 weeks.

I had never heard of JV Giveaways until I read Alex’s free report. Now that I’ve learned a little bit about them I’m finding that these giveaways are being held quite often.

Not only are they great for marketers that want to build their lists, but they are also a great place to stock up on all kinds of free internet marketing reports, software and all kinds of things for free.

You can use these gifts for your own personal use or you can use some of them to provide value to your own readers.

Here are a list of some upcoming Joint Venture Giveaway events. Check them out, like I said, there is no cost to join.

You want to build a list, right? Then sign up for a giveaway now. You will learn as you go.

If you want to learn more about what JV Giveaway’s are and everything you need to know about setting up your own gift, here is a free ebook by Jerry Iannucci that explains everything in great detail.

Building An Email List Should Be Your Ultimate Focus

Through out the first couple modules of Alex Jeffrey’s training he emphasizes over and over again that your main focus and effort should be on building your list.

Did you know that they say that each person on your email list equals about $1 a month?

Imagine that, just a list of 3000 to 4000 email subscribers and I can kick the day job to the curb.

building a listOf course, it starts slow.

You won’t have 2000 subscribers overnight.

They will join, 1 by 1 by 1.

Alex says that you will start small, but need to THINK BIG.

Not only do you want a list, but you want a warm list. Not a cold list. As you build your list you should first focus on building relationships with your readers. The more value you provide them the more likely they will read your emails and buy something from you in the future.

You can send them tips, helpful links, videos, free ebooks. There are all kinds of things you can do. Just make sure what your are sending them is of value.

Show them that you are there to help them and that you want to see them succeed.

The more you build relationships and the more value you provide them the more they will trust you. Your readers will start to look forward to your next emails.

There are 4 Steps to Your Readers:

Suspects

You turn your suspects into prospects by giving them free, valuable information.

Then you start to build you relationships with them. Let them get to know you. Let them start to like you and then they will start trusting you.

Then you can start turning them into customers.

Alex overlooked list building for years. Now he has a list well over 23,000 subscribers. It is probably even loads higher than that now.

There is no time than the present to start. Don’t wait 2 years down the road thinking I’ll get to it later. Now is the time to start.

I actually starting learning about internet marketing about 1-2 years ago. I told myself I wasn’t advanced enough to learn how to build a list. Now I know that was complete nonsense.

I highly recommend you download “List Building With Alex”. He leads you through how he built his list into the thousands. It also includes a 12 step guide to starting your own list. You’ll get some great tips and resources to get you going in no time. Oh ya, and it’s totally free. Check out my right side bar to download it.

What is a Profit Pulling Platform?

As I said in my last post I am starting at square one and going back through the training modules for Alex Jeffreys coaching program. I let my day time job overwhelm me for a while there and stopped my internet marking efforts. I decided the best thing to do is to start over, re-listen to all of my training, take lots of notes and start blogging.

The first module is all about planning and keeping on top of your business. You have to have a plan. I won’t go into detail on this module since I posted about them early on. Here they are if you missed them:

Every Successful Online Business Starts With A Plan

K.O.T.O.B.O.T – huh?

Alex’s second module goes into setting up a sales funnel or what he calls a profit pulling platform.

A profit pulling platform is a series of webpages that become your sales funnel. This funnel will have multiple ways to make you money.

Here is an example below of what a profit pulling platform would look like:

Profit Pulling PlatformYou start by sending traffic to your squeeze page. When they get to your squeeze page they only have two options. 1) enter their name and email to get the free ebook, or 2) close the page. (of course, we all hope for number 1!)

Once they opt into your mailing list you send them to the download page where they will be made an offer, or up-sell. They can either choose to take the upsell or download your free ebook.

If you make money on the up-sell, great, but if not, that is ok too. Alex emphasizes that THE MOST IMPORTANT thing is building your mailing list.

Also, your free ebook will have mater resale rights so that it can be given away freely. Since it is full of links back to your website you can create even more traffic.

A website alone won’t make money. You can’t just throw up a website and expect to start rolling in the cash. You need to have the business behind the website. You have to have faith in the system.
