In module one of Alex Jeffrey’s coaching program we focused on “forward to basics”. It was all about planning and organization for your online business. We learned the importance of planning ahead your days, weeks and months. Alex taught us to use the task management tools that he personally uses with his online business.

K.O.T.O.B.O.T

What on earth is K.O.T.O.B.O.T?

KEEP ON TOP OF BEING ON TOP

You shouldn’t just have a plan, but you need to keep on top of your plan. You need to K.O.T.O.B.O.T your online business. Alex originally learned to do this with his own personal finances. Then when he saw the results he realized he could apply this to his online business.  During the first year of incorporating K.O.T.O.B.O.T into his own online business he made $115,000. He created a plan, planned ahead and kept on top of his plan.

Alex says that “An idiot with a plan will always beat a genius without a plan”.

How do you keep on top of your plan? Please leave a comment on what works for you, what doesn’t work or what you plan to do to keep on top of your plan.

    Heidi,

I remember Alex saying something about KOTOBOT and I couldn’t remember what it meant.

    Now I know.

But easier said than done… sometimes.

    Speak soon,

    Rob

  • Heidi,

Planning is very important it is a must or you will be spinning your wheels. Well executed plans lead to better results. Never heard of this term but I sure I will remember it now if I see it again.

    Hi Hiedi,

KOTOBOT – It is amazing what you can accomplish with a pen and a few pieces of paper. I almost forgot what it was like to write something down. And the difference when you map out a plan and then follow that plan.

I’m in the process of making a video tutorial training website, without that pen and paper I would be lost.

    Great Post

  • Hey Heidi

First time I’ve been here, looks like your doing a great job! :)

KOTOBOT – easy to remember, but it’s hard to make sure you keep up with it! I’m trying my best and I find the best way to do this is by mindmapping and planning!

I’m still working full time, so my time with my business is precious and it’s this time I need to make sure I’m productive!

Well..this post has inspried me (once again) to go and keep on top of being on top!

Keep it up, and I’ll make sure I check in more often now I’ve found you!

  • I agree planning is very important but what’s even more important is to like Heidi said ” Keep on top your plan” being enthusiastic about your plan and always working toward it, improvising it, deleting and introducing new things as and when required is also very important. It has reminded me of my own plan ….and now i plan to KOTOBOT

    Hey Heidi,

Thank you for reminding me of KOTOBOT, Heidi.

I have my plan for the next couple of months or so, but I’ve not exactly been keeping on top of it.

The thing that’s been messing me up is, I’ve been trying to cram too much into each day. I’ve now started to give myself less to do each day, I chose one A task, one B task, and one C task. Where I used to be trying to do 3 A tasks, 2 B tasks, etc…

Since I’ve been giving myself less to do, I feel like I’m accomplishing more ans am less stressed, As I’m not trying to rush everything now.

I’m making progress slowly but surely, and I only keep doing what is working for me.

Thanks for the reminder about keeping on top of things, I hope everything is going well in the coaching for you, Heidi?

Feel free to pop over to my blog anytime, and if you need help with anything at all, just ask and I’ll do my best to help you. ;)

    Take care,

    Paul.

I remember something about that! I only wish I could apply it to the rest of my other business stuff – Other things I do eat so much of my time its impossible for me to KOTOBOT at the moment.

Not to worry – I know what I have to do, this IM game once working properly would suit myself far far better,
